What Your Budget Actually Buys Here
₹500 is the Nizamuddin/Sunder Nursery side — Sunder Nursery entry is ₹50 a head, Humayun's Tomb ₹40, and Zaika's biryani or Ghalib Kabab Corner run ₹250–300 for two. ₹1,500 jumps sub-areas within the zone: Khan Market's cafes (Colocal Chocolates, Bloom Cafe, Sly Granny) don't have listed prices yet, but JAMUN in Lodi Colony and MKT at The Chanakya Mall — the latter priced at ₹3,000 — sit in this same broad zone tag.
The real ₹2,500-plus tier here is Chanakyapuri and Khan Market fine dining: The Library Bar at The Leela Palace (₹4,500 for two), Louve near Khan Market (₹7,000), Erawaan at The Claridges (₹4,000), Playboy Club at Vasant Kunj (₹4,500). Indian Accent (The Lodhi) and Cirrus 9 (The Oberoi, Golf Links) sit in the same fine-dining cluster tagged to this zone but unpriced — book, don't walk in. This is Plankro's most expensive zone by a wide margin — and almost none of that expense is in Nizamuddin itself.
Best Time To Go
Sunder Nursery and Humayun's Tomb are golden-hour stops, best 5–6:30 PM before the gates close at sunset — this half of the zone is done by dark. Khan Market and Lodhi Colony run a completely different, later evening: cafes and restaurants there get going past 7 PM and stay open into the night. Chanakyapuri's hotel restaurants — Leela, Claridges — are dinner-and-later, dressy, reservation territory, not a walk-in stop after a park visit.
What Breaks Here
This is the one Plankro zone where the name does the least work — "Nizamuddin" here covers the actual Nizamuddin/Sunder Nursery neighbourhood, Khan Market and Lodhi Colony 4 km away, and Chanakyapuri/Vasant Kunj a further 9 km out. Building a 3-stop plan across all three means real drive time between each stop, not a walkable evening. Pick one sub-area and stay in it — Sunder Nursery into Nizamuddin food is one honest date; Khan Market into Chanakyapuri dinner is another. They're not the same evening.
Getting There & Transit
If your evening is Sunder Nursery, Humayun's Tomb, or the Nizamuddin West food lane, the nearest station is Sarai Kale Khan-Nizamuddin (Pink Line) — a genuine 15–20 minute walk, more like an auto ride. If it's Khan Market, Lodhi Colony, or Golf Links instead, you're 5 minutes from Khan Market metro (Violet Line) — a completely different station and a completely different walk. Chanakyapuri and Vasant Kunj venues (Leela, Claridges, Playboy Club) aren't a metro walk from either — plan to drive or cab both ways.
